Fotomuseum Winterthur Gets New Co-Directors, Forbes and Sellig

Urs Stahel, co-founder of the Fotomuseum Winterthur and director and curator from 1993-2013, has left his position at the museum after 20 years of service to work independently as an author, curator, professor and consultant. Duncan Forbes and Thomas Seelig have become the museum's new co-directors.

Stahel in his email said, "Twenty years of Fotomuseum Winterthur, ten years of the Center for Photography—it has been and still is a magnificent experience. Now it is time for me to go on my way, and time for the museum to look towards the future under its new directors. I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to all those who have actively supported the museum since it was founded in 1993. I wish the museum all the best for the future and much success under the leadership of Duncan Forbes and Thomas Seelig. The museum now rests on a solid foundation and has been placed in very competent new hands. Please continue your loyal support!"
