The 8th edition of Classic Photographs Los Angeles is coming up on Saturday and Sunday, January 21-22, 2017. With 26 high-level international galleries and dealers exhibiting, including Contemporary Works/Vintage Works, this is the second best opportunity after the AIPAD New York Photography Show to find quality photography in the U.S., and is not to be missed.
19th-century and 20th-century masterworks, contemporary works, vernacular photographs and photo books will be on offer in a range of prices accessible to every collector and curator.
CPLA has announced that Karen Haas, Lane, curator of photographs, Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, will lead a private walk-through of the show prior to public hours. The tour will commence Saturday, January 21st at 9:30 am and end at 11 am. Price is $25 per person and availability is limited. The show is held at Bonhams auction rooms at 7601 W. Sunset Boulevard, Los Angeles, CA 90046. This location is just six blocks east of Fairfax in West Hollywood. Ample free parking is available in two lots located directly behind Bonhams, as well as metered street parking. Regular show hours are Saturday, January 21: 11 am-7 pm; and Sunday, January 22: 11-5 pm.
